The process of opening your own Southwest Funding mortgage banking branch begins when you first contact us. Our desire is for this union to provide great benefit to you, as well as to us. We encourage you to review our branch manager minimum eligibility requirements and current licensed states to find out where we are opening offices.

After the initial call, you will probably formulate additional questions. We will be readily accessible by phone and email, as well as in-person meetings, to discuss a potential opportunities for you to start a mortgage branch. We encourage you to speak with some of our current retail branch managers and are glad to provide you with several references. An application will be sent to you via email, upon your request. The application paperwork will include the required forms and information that we will need to make a decision on a branch partnership. We encourage you to visit our corporate office in Dallas, Texas and to meet our exceptional mortage branching team. While this is not required, we do find that a personal meeting can be very beneficial.

If you decide that a starting a Southwest Funding retail mortgage banking branch is the right decision for you, we will need the completed application package returned to our office for processing. There is NO FEE to apply. The package contains forms that will need to be signed, as well as requests for personal information so we can evaluate broker/banker experience, character, financial stability and other factors that are essential for your success in branch management. We can generally process an application package in a week, but this is dependent upon the responsiveness of references, as well as completeness of the returned package.

A decision will be made by our executive team to extend an approval offer. Upon approval, we will work with you to transition to Southwest Funding. This includes getting setup on our intranet and web based LOS, lender setup, license transfers, branch employee hiring, payroll, compliance, and all other areas necessary to ensure your success. We have set up hundreds of offices over the years and will help make your transition as smooth and as quick as possible.
