I have been in the Mortgage business since 1996 and have worked for small brokers to big banks. Southwest funding is "just right", they are big enough to get things done and small enough to the personalized attention needed.
I was with my previous company for 10 years and liked it but with the changes in the industry and the new compensation plan changes it was time for me to make a change. When I was looking for a new company to work with I had several criteria in a company, namely reputation, length of time in the business, and a wide range of loan products . Southwest Funding had all those and more. I could find no negative feed back from anyone I spoke with including account reps and title companies and that made me feel I made the right decision. The staff at the corporate office is knowledgeable and helpful, the underwriters will talk to you and answer any questions you may have so you can head off any issues upfront. With the Southwest Funding model I am able to bank my loans as well as broker what I need to and that means I can find a home for almost every loan. I can also be very price competitive if need be and still make a profit. As far as the comp plan I have not seen one as aggressive as well as user friendly. I am glad I made the move and wish I had done so much sooner.
